Veterinary Stem Cell Therapy

MBG Lab provides veterinarians with the unique technology of Regenerative Cell Therapy. This technology makes use of autologous stem cells, derived from an animal’s adipose tissue for the regeneration of the animal’s tendon, bone, ligament, muscles etc. Adipose tissues are abundant and easily accessible and the regenerative cells derived from this tissue lack the ethical controversy that is usually associated with embryonic stem cells.

The following conditions listed below could be considered for adipose-derived adult stem cell therapy:

  • Bowed Tendons
  • Ligament injuries
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osteochondral defects
MBG-Stem regenerative therapy is currently available for horses and small animals (dogs and cats) and will soon be extended to cover camelids.

The whole process of adipose stem cell transplant can be accomplished within 48 hours after collection of a fat sample from an animal.

  Day One
The veterinarian aseptically collects a small amount of fat sample from an animal and sends it to MBG Laboratory.

Day Two
MBG LAB processes the fat sample, concentrating the regenerative cells. The cells are shipped in ready-to-inject syringes in a cold box.

Day Three
The veterinarian injects the regenerative cells directly into the injured site or intravenously within 48 hours of receiving the cells.
